About our Prices
All prices listed on our web site are suggested retail, and wholesale prices (which aren't shown) are usually about half of the suggested retail price. You can call us for wholesale prices, or get them from our sales sheets (see below).
In the interest of full disclosure: wholesale prices, particularly for bags and hats, are subject to change due to possible shortages in source fibers, road closures, social/political instability, etc. We will try to keep this web site current, but please call for the very latest prices.
Sales SheetsSales sheets, with excellent color photos and many details, are available for many of our lines. Contact us and we will be happy to send you some. Some sales sheet images are available for our hats and bags on this page. Other sales sheet images may be found in other areas of the site. NOTE: Our very newest lines are often not on our web site, in part to help guard against theft of our or our artisans' product designs. Contact us, and we will gladly make sure that you see them. Minimum ordersBags, hats, accessories, and all raffia items: first order minimum is $250. All other items: first order minimum is $150. DiscountsDiscounts are available for large orders of items of the same SKU (size and color). For some items, discounts start with as few as 6 units for some items. For bags and hats, discounts average 8% for 12 units, 10% for 24, 15% for 144, and 20% for 288 units. Some products (primarily fund-raisers or educational kits) are not available wholesale, but check with us for other kinds of discounts. Returns, Shortages and DamagesFOW will accept returns for items of dissatisfaction within 30 days. FOW may issue a call tag for the return of items which are incorrect color, size, or style; or may send replacement goods if customers return items. Claims for damaged or missing goods must be made within 7 days of receipt of goods. FOW will make claims with UPS for the damages. Customer must retain the box and received items until claim is settled. |
ShippingShipping charges are not included in wholesale prices. UPS Ground will be used unless otherwise requested. COD shipments incur additional fees and insurance coverage. A 2% carbon emission fee may be added and will be used to plant trees to offset transportation pollution. Delivery TimeDelivery may take up to 2-10 weeks, depending on inventories. FOW will contact customers for substitutions if ordered items are not available. Special orders require 2-3 months lead time and a 50% deposit. Backorders will be shipped after confirmation. A restocking fee of 8% is applied to all orders with ship dates that are delayed or canceled after 30 days from the initial P.O. date, or to refused shipments that are sent on time and in good condition. Payment Terms and ChargesAll first orders must be prepaid with a valid credit card, Vericheck or by C.O.D. Payment by C.O.D. will incur an additional 2% insurance charge and UPS COD fee. Orders placed with a credit card will be given priority. Charges will be made only at time of shipping, except for deposits. Credit cards may be charged for all late invoices (30 days past due). FOW maintains the right to deny credit at any time. FOW maintains the right to change terms at any time. Orders of over $500 require a 50% deposit. Net 30 terms may be extended with credit card and references on file. If a factor is required, discount pricing will be changed. Returned Check Fee is $25. Late fee is 2% per month, or 0.00066 per day. |
About our Terms
Our sales have tight margins, so any payment delinquencies hurt us severely. They also hurt our producers, whose are frequently dealing with hardships already.
Our money comes in and goes out to suppliers very rapidly, and we depend upon prompt payment.
In the past, too many stores have been extremely late in payments, "forgot" to pay us at all, refused COD's, or cancelled orders after product has been received from artisans. This is a great burden and we can't easily survive these costly losses. We must protect ourselves and our producers through careful payment terms.
For the most part, we have had wonderful customers, and many of the relationships we cherish as we have seen them and ourselves mature and prosper in support of our artisans. We look forward to having you as one of our best customers and we will work hard as we can to be your best vendor.
